About me…

I am looking for some sort of creative outlet. Not entirely sure about what that outlet will look like at this point though. However, everywhere I see says just to start. Whatever, it is… so here we are at the jumping off point.

As of writing, this website is set up to be both a personal blog and a spot to show off some pictures and videos that I’ve taken. With no formal training in any of the aforementioned areas, I will be learning along the way, but hey its all about the journey.

So onto the actual topic ABOUT ME - what a hard thing to write about. Where to start… I guess my name is a good spot. Hi. I’m Eric - a 20 something guy living in Virginia. I’m interested in learning the ropes of photography, scene editing, and even perhaps dabbling in a bit of drone photography/videography.

From here and above, I wrote this draft on May 7th of 2021 - just about 3 years ago to the day. It’s pretty cheesy, but I’m really disappointed that I never posted it. Because it’s a snapshot of what I was up to and looking forward to do with this website. Perhaps it would have held me accountable, but hey here we are now.

So, I’m posting this unfinished ‘About Me’ blog post, that I’m pretty shocked that I saved anyways because of the level of poor writing and focusing on the wrong things, from when I first started this website up 3 years ago. This is the beginning, the first post ever, that I started 3 years ago.

Since then, I’ve remained pretty consistent with my like of all things drones, dabbling in street photography, and more recently finding and reading really good fiction. But still lacking that consistent creative outlet. I hope this blog will serve as a repository for those pursuits, not for anyone else, but for me, as a way that I can look back on what I was doing, working on, and thinking about at any given time moving forward. Kind of like an open source journal.
